- A self-serve SaaS at easycp12.com for logging a check on a phone, issuing the PDF, emailing it, and tracking renewals. The app shell follows Quote Direct; the certificate engine was ported from the internal RGW tool.
Overview
A record-keeping, document, and reminder tool, not a quoting product. An engineer logs a gas safety check on a phone, issues a Landlord or Homeowner Gas Safety Record as a PDF, emails it, and gets reminded when the property is due again.
The problem
Independent gas engineers still write landlord gas safety records on paper or in clunky apps. The legal document has to be right, emailed to the landlord, and chased again in twelve months.
The process
This is a gas product on purpose. The CP12 is a legal record under Regulation 36(3). Engineer identity is snapshotted onto each certificate so a later settings change cannot rewrite what was issued.
The look and the multi-tenant shell were copied from Quote Direct, then reskinned. The certificate engine was ported from rgw-quoter, the internal daily tool Rich already uses. QuickBooks and quoting were left behind.
Measuring success
Success is an engineer signing up on a phone, logging a check, and issuing a valid CP12. The commercial measure is a paying engineer who is not already in the RGW world. Neither is claimed as done on this page.
Outcomes
A self-serve SaaS at easycp12.com: marketing site, engineer portal, gas-check flow, PDF, email, tenancy, and reminders. Spark is intended to absorb this as its certificate module later.
