What I owned
End-to-end journey, the system that held both brands, testing, delivery with engineering.
What I shipped
Cross-brand patterns, trust messaging, and a live integration. 25% less drop-off at the brand transition; 15% more booking completions; 90% clarity in testing.

Overview

Checkatrade partnered with Heatable to embed an instant quote-and-book tool. I designed the end-to-end journey so people could start on Checkatrade and finish on Heatable without feeling dumped.

The problem

Two brands, one booking. Users had to stay sure they were still supported by Checkatrade. The live path had to match what we tested.

The process

I mapped friction in the existing journey, prototyped the brand transition, and tested for comprehension, not preference. Checkatrade stayed familiar at the start. Heatable arrived in stages. Checkatrade signals stayed on the Heatable side. Engineering shipped the thing we tested.

Prototypes

Measuring success

25% less drop-off at the brand transition. 15% more booking completions. 90% of testers understood the partnership.

Outcomes

A live integration with a shared pattern set and trust messaging. Users reported more confidence in the handoff. Both brands kept a single journey instead of a redirect.
